Rainy Day

TThe past few days have been so rainy and gloomy in NYC! Lucky for me, I bought these awesome, and super chic Loeffler Randall rain booties! They are so cute, as a matter of fact, that at least 5 people asked me where I got them yesterday, and that was before they even knew they were rain boots! I love that! They are short too, which is great for Spring and Summer because tall rain boots can just get so hot!  I decided to wear this awesome, sheer bright pink blouse with laser cut flowers from Forever 21. I love wearing bright colors on rainy days. My vintage Chanel maxi flap added just the right amount of “chic”. Oh, and I love how my CC Skye wrap bracelet matches the chain straps on my Chanel bag. 😉 How are you guys brightening up your wardrobe in this dark weather? Let me know! Spring lace and brights

I am loving this warmer weather in NYC.  Spring! My second favorite season after Fall. 😉

I am really into lace lately, but done in a new, exciting way. I am seeing tons of tops with lace inserts, jeans with lace detailing, and shirts with hints of lace.  With the neon trend so big right now, I have also seen neon lace everywhere.  You can really make that neon trend pop by wearing a bright see through neon lace top, with a neon bandeau or bralet under it in a different color.  Hmm, I may try that for my next post.

For today, I decided to wear this awesome short sleeved crochet lace top from Forever 21. It’s super lightweight, and I love the design.  This top would also be perfect to wear with just a bralet or bandeau underneath, as mentioned before, but it was a little chilly that day, so layered it with a lightweight tank top, also from Forever 21. My bright, chunky accessories offset the white lace. I like to sometimes wear an outfit in plain colors, and brighten it up with accessories. Of course, my Neon Cambridge Satchel is the ultimate showstopper.  It brightens any outfit, and I get stopped on the street constantly while wearing it! Such a great investment, and so affordable! Lastly, my super comfortable beige and orange Sam Edelman wedge sandals that I bought were the highlight of my week!  So chic and gorgeous! Purchase them here!

I am just LOVING this weather! 70 degrees again in March! I had an amazing day today hanging at my good friend’s (and fellow awesome blogger’s) house, helping her purge her wardrobe, and get rid of things she does NOT need. God, I need to do the same thing! LOL

I threw on this new top I got from Zara, which was slightly sheer, and gave me the ideal chance to show off my neon pink bra from Victoria’s Secret. This is another great way to wear neon that isn’t too much “in your face”.  It’s a hint of color, and a great way to brighten up a plain top. I had to also take out my cobalt blue Celine luggage tote again. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I will definitely be wearing this a lot more. LOVE the cobalt blue mixed with other neons as well. How are you wearing neon this season so far?  More photos after the break. 😉

Shopping day in the city

I went window shopping in Manhattan today with my best friend Debbie. Again, it was a gorgeous March day, 80 degrees. I can’t believe I am wearing sandals in March! Right now is a great time to take advantage of tons of clearance sales, as shops are looking to get rid of their Winter items and get ready for Spring. We hit a ton of stores with just that in mind.I wore my Ash sandals, cool Old Navy blouse, and took out my Vintage Chanel flap. 😉

My boyfriend just got featured on Channel NY1!

Yesterday, Channel NY1 reached out to feature my boyfriend Chris in a special news segment (you can see me sitting next to him in the video)!  He’s been getting a lot of press for his impressions and comedy. My boyfriend, like me, is an actor, comedian and writer.  He also does amazing impressions – and he’s been making some serious coin with them. Basically, people looking to do something a little different for a gift, can pay him to prank call people as Christopher Walken, Alec Baldwin, Tony Soprano, any many more characters, all through a website called Fiverr. After the interview we took advantage of the beautiful weather and took a couple of quick snapshots in Astoria. I wore my Balenciaga leather jacket, but even that proved too heavy for this Spring, or as I like to say “the early Summer” weather! 🙂  Leave a comment below. Balenciaga and neon yellow

Today was a GORGEOUS day in NYC!! 75 degrees!! In March!!  I can’t believe it! 😉 It was the perfect excuse to take out my leather quilted Balenciaga Jacket. I absolutely LOVE this jacket.  It’s one of the many “investment” pieces I have, and it’s so worth it. Today was also the first day I took out my neon yellow Cambridge satchel. What an amazing color! I can see myself working this bright bag into many outfits this Spring and Summer.  (I may want it in another color!)  I am wearing Old Navy jeggings, they are super comfortable and I love this color for Spring. I also dug my Aldo suede wedges out of the closet and paired them with socks…….great way to wear sandals now while it’s still chilly!

Flashback to NYC Fashion Week Spring 2011~ “With Love” necklace collection

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a full year since these photos were taken! I didn’t have a blog back then so I wanted to post these photos now for you to see.  I was lucky enough to be invited to attend a W event  that was run by my good friend Elaine.  I also had a chance to promote a line of necklaces near and dear to my heart, the “With Love” Collection by Joe Cangemi. These necklaces are a unique design, an open circle shape that come in either white, yellow, or rose gold.  You are able to engrave the necklace with whatever you want.  “With Love” will appear on one side, with your choice of words for the other side.  For mine, I chose my name and my boyfriend’s name, Chris. Joe has special necklaces that he makes for causes that mean a lot to him, such as cancer research, breast cancer, AIDS, ect.  Some people chose to have a necklace made to represent what they have been through in life, and how they survived. These are more then just necklaces, they are symbols of life, love and strength.You can purchase them here.

Layers, Belgian Waffles, and girl’s day out ;-)

Today was a gorgeous day in NYC!  The temperature went up to 60 degrees, and despite the high winds, it was a welcome break from the extreme cold weather we have been getting. I decided to have a girls day out in the city with my best friend Debbie. We wanted to hit the Nanette Lepore sample sale (details on what I purchased in a later post), get Belgian Waffles, and enjoy the gorgeous weather.  For those outside of NYC, there is an amazing Belgian Waffle truck in Chelsea. This truck is there 6 days a week, and serves up genuine Belgian Waffles, with unlimited toppings, (including a ground up cookie paste that is to die for!), fruit, ice cream, and melted Belgian chocolate.  YUM!!! Of course, we had to have everything on our waffles! LOL

I decided to layer up, wearing my rabbit fur vest under my Kenneth Cole coat, so that I was still warm in the high winds, but I would be able to remove my coat if necessary and just wear the vest.  My Acne Pistol boots are perfect for walking around the city for 8 hours, super comfortable!!!  But the icing on the cake? My gorgeous Alexander Wang Rocco bag with rose gold hardware!  Get it while you can! The rose gold hardware sells out right away! It’s so perfect because it goes with both gold and silver. Amazing bag!!

Today was a fun day!

Night out in the city

Join me for a gorgeous night in the city! 😉  My boyfriend and I went to a meeting tonight to discuss a possible partnership for my blog.  I decided to snap some shots on the train heading to the city, and to also snap some in the gorgeous lobby of the hotel where our meeting was held. It was another beautiful day in NYC! 65 degrees at 7pm? I hope this amazing weather keeps up! I prefer leather jackets over down coats any day!  Winter can wait!




I fell in love with this hotel lobby! That circular fish tank was amazing! And those fish were huge, and had teeth! LOL The decor was gorgeous. I will definitely be stopping by again, so beautiful! 

As you can see, I can’t stop wearing my Balenciaga jacket.  It’s so comfortable and I love the quilting! I hope the weather stays warm like this so I have more chances to sport it! What do you think? xoxoxo
