Here is another one of my favorite Parka looks. This one is by Free People. I love that the bottom zips off, and the sleeves as well! The Antik Batik clutch is the perfect compliment. I love leopard and studs, even in the cold weather. 😉 This coat is from Asos, and the bag is vintage Chanel. My Chloe Susanna boots are easily one of my favorite pairs of shoes- in all seasons! Shop this entire look below!

And I’m glad to see that Sci-Fi dating has finally embraced same sex relationships!

2013 was the year that I attended my very first Comic Con. I had heard about it for years, and knew it was a really cool event, but I never really had reason to attend until this year. Why this year? Well 2013 was the 20th anniversary of The X-Files, a show that changed my life in the 90s, ignited my obsession with Mulder and Scully, and made me “want to believe”. It still remains one of the most brilliant, and groundbreaking shows of Television history. I am still in awe that I got the chance to meet both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in person, and got to thank them for their creativity and entertainment. They were both extremely sweet, friendly, and warm. To be honest, I think the real “X-File” is how they look more amazing now then they did 20 years ago! (The cigarette smoking man may have something to do with this) 😉

Comic Con in general was a ton of fun. It’s sort of like Halloween, except everyone is a super hero, or comic book character. My boyfriend Chris and I had a blast walking around and seeing everything. I hope you enjoy the photos! I wore bright colored sunglasses, and an embellished clutch for the day. It seemed fitting. Maybe next year I’ll go in costume. 😉

Sweet Friday- Cupcakes and Camouflage

We spent a very sweet night at Martha’s Bakery in Astoria. 😉

The cakes and cupcakes here are simply amazing.

Strawberry please………..

I went on a cupcake date tonight with my incredible boyfriend, (who also happens to be my photographer). We love Martha’s Bakery in our neighborhood! The baked goods are made fresh daily and rival almost any bakery you can name. My favorite is the red velvet. 😉 It was a very rainy night, so I went casual in my skinny jeans, and brightened up the look with a neon cashmere sweater from J Crew, under a camo studded jacket from Zara. I love mixing patterns and colors. I am also loving neon lately, as you can see from my nails, and latest blog posts. Maybe it’s because it’s so dark lately in NYC…….. wearing bright colors just seems to make you feel happier. 😉 Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

On the roof

Today was a mild Winter day, I love that! My Three Floor fur parka finally arrived in the mail. I have been lusting after this coat for months, and when it finally went on sale at Free People, I bit the bullet and bought it. So glad I did! The bottom half actually zips off to a jacket, and that is how I chose to wear it today. I also love wearing my Plush fleece lined tights in Winter. They are super warm, and allow you to wear skirts and dresses in Winter weather without being cold. Oh, and you can grab these gorgeous leopard gloves at J Crew on sale! Every woman need some leopard in her life. 😉 We shot today on our roof. I love NYC. Happy Thursday!

The Fashion Minx and The Sequin Cinderella in NYC!!!

So excited to finally meet Nicola in person!!!

I was lucky enough to meet and work with the fabulous, and well known Irish blogger Nicola from The Sequin Cinderella! This was Nicola’s first trip to NYC, and she loved it! For our shoot, we chose Times Square, the heart of NYC as our location. We chose to wear skirts and dresses mixed with boots which give off a tough/feminine look- which is perfect for this city. We hit Sephora, walked around Times Square, and had fun with some police officers! Of course, we also talked shopping, finding deals in the city, and ways to protect yourself from the harsh NYC winter temps while still showcasing your style! It was a very cold night, which called for a lot of layering! I am a huge fan of fur vests because you can layer them under, or above a coat or jacket! (That night I did both) I wore my blue feather vest from Topshop. I love the texture of it, and it’s super warm! There are tons of adorable fur vests out there, both real and faux. I also love THIS ONE, THIS ONE, and THIS ONE. Nicola wore a gorgeous lace dress from Zara with studded boots by Chiara Ferragni. I love the look of a feminine lace dress mixed with tough biker style boots. Similar dresses HERE, and HERE. Also, I love these studded boots by ASH. I went with a cobalt blue theme, wearing my blue Celine (similar bag HERE) , blue J Crew top, and my blue bubble necklace. Oh….and my cobalt blue YSL ARTY RING. White Fall Dress….two ways

We are experiencing an unusual heat wave in NYC lately. (By heat wave, I mean 50 degrees in November!) I bought this gorgeous beaded white dress from Zara, and I was planning on rocking it for Fall with thick tights. This pleasant weather,however, allowed me to wear the dress bare legged with my Rag & Bone boots. I couldn’t decide what coat to wear with it, so I decided to try out two different looks. First, I paired the dress with this incredible leopard coat I got from Nordstrom! What a great buy! It’s waterproof and super warm! A leopard coat is a staple every girl should have in her closet, and at this price, it’s worth it! Second, I tried it on with the sweater I bought at the Margiella for H&M preview I attended two weeks ago. (I love how designers are making their lines more affordable for the general public by doing collaborations!) I love the look of white on white as well. What was that rule about white after Labor Day? Yea….right…..so 10 years ago! LOL BTW, I am loving my Pamela Love medium tribal spike necklace! (Last seen HERE). It’s bold, unique, and makes any outfit more special!

Urban Jungle

I paired two of Fall’s biggest trends for a fresh look: metallics and burgundy. I found this awesome metallic skirt at Minusey for a great price. I think the skirt adds a great pop of color in this dark, dismal Fall weather! My burgundy quilted Balenciaga jacket is still my favorite Fall piece, and the color is just amazing.
