Ahhh, Winter in NYC……..it can be gloomy, misty, foggy, and dark at times can’t it? But no matter how dark the skies become, there is something so gorgeous about the buildings, architecture, and design of the ciy that always stands out.  Case in point, the beautiful surroundings on this particular gloomy day in February. And, just so you know, it was freezing! I stayed warm by layering my Zara denim shirt over a J Crew t shirt, and my bright cobalt Marc Jacobs coat kept me both warm, and happy with a needed pop of color.  I last wore this gorgeous coat in THIS POST.  (You can buy a Similar coat HERE) I carried my orange clutch from ASOS for an added pop of color.  I have a always loved blue and orange together. This clutch was last seen in THIS POST, paired with denim.  (Similar clutch HERE.) The fringe suede boots are Nine West. They were on sale, and sold out, but you can buy a similar style HERE.  Stay warm!

Truthfully, I had been lusting after these boots since last year, but the price tag stopped me.  When they went on sale though, I had to cave! And, believe it or not, they are comfortable!  And, they match perfectly with my J Crew Edie clutch that I also scored on sale.  Sadly, the leopard version is sold out now, but similar gorgeous leopard clutches are HERE, and HERE.  Today was actually a beautiful, warm day in NYC.  By warm, I mean 50s, but it’s January! That feels like Summer to me!!  It gave me a chance to rock my Balenciaga quilted jacket, with a fur vest on top. Again, for GREAT PRICES on Balenciaga, visit HG BAGS!! Email Erica and tell her you read  about her site on my blog!  Her prices are half off retail!! Too bad next week is back to cold. LOL Happy Weekend!

Red and black

I love colored jeans!  One of the things I am looking forward to this Fall is being able to rock the trend of bright colored, printed, and textured jeans! My love of interesting jeans actually dates back to my childhood.  I remember when I was about 11 years old, my older cousins would come visit me, and they were all wearing jeans with either designs, painted pictures, or cool embroidery on them.  I was so jealous! As I got older, the idea of “printed jeans” wasn’t really in style anymore…….so plain jeans it was for me. 🙁  But now that the trend is back, and improved in my opinion, I am all over it!  It’s an easy way to elevate your outfit, and update your look!  We saw this trend being worn earlier this Spring and Summer, in the form of neon jeans, and tons of jeans with either flowers or warm weather designs on them.  But, for this Fall, the trend is jeans in more jewel toned colors, jeans with deep embroidery, (think your grandma’s drapes), and of course, jeans printed with tons of patterns. ( I recently scored a bunch of awesome jeans at Zara, stay tuned for future blog posts with those)  But yesterday, I kept it simple with my new favorite bright red jeans, on sale from SHOPBOP!  (Buy them HERE!!! ….and similar red jeans HERE, and HERE)  I kept the rest of my outfit black to offset the red.  My Celine Nano is my favorite cross body bag.  It’s great when you are on the go! (Similar cross body bags HERE, and HERE)  Oh, and my Rag & Bone Newbury boots are the best investment purchase I ever made! Seriously, they are the most comfortable ankle boots on the planet! Just read the reviews HERE to see that I  am not kidding!  What are you most looking forward to this Fall?

xoxo
